Against All Odds, South Carolinas’ Proposed Medical Marijuana Law Goes Up To Bat

The Senate Medical Affairs Committee has scheduled a hearing on March 18th to review proposed legislation championed and authored by Senator Tom Davis. While the hearing is open to the public, there will be no public testimony. In fact, testimony has occurred several times over many years already…

South Carolina has had multiple opportunities to enact a state-run medical cannabis program that would benefit a variety of South Carolinians from veterans to epileptic children. Is the bill Conservative enough for SC? Can our citizens finally find relief from harmful pharmaceuticals? Will our lawmakers come together for this initiative? Senator Davis thinks so.

Please take a moment to donate if you haven’t already. We weren’t anticipating a hearing being scheduled this soon, and one could decide to view this as a potentially positive sign of the direction we are headed… please be sure to contact your lawmakers and let them know you are interested in seeing this bill become law.

This bill needs to pass. It will reduce suffering as well as generate useful tax revenue.
